Knights Inn, Somerset , PA – Best Value in the Laurel Highlands - a review by Owen Auman
Knights Inn Photo
Pool at the the Knights Inn
My recent stay at the Knights Inn in Somerset , Pennsylvania was top notch. Not only did it offer the lowest price around, the accommodations rivaled the more expensive chains in town. The Knights Inn was easy to find – it's immediately off of the turnpike, so there's no hunting through Somerset after you've been driving for hours already.

My kitchenette included a microwave, coffee maker (with complementary coffee), stove, oven, mini-fridge and sink with counter space. The room came with a double bed, couch, table with chairs, cable tv and alarm clock. The room was clean, comfortable and much larger than I had expected, given the low price.

All rooms are ground level and open to the parking lot. Parking is free, readily available, and convenient to your room – no lugging your entire family's suitcases up several flights of stairs!

The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful– from the representative who checked me in to the housekeepers who left me clean towels and extra toiletries hanging outside my door when I hung out the privacy sign.

The Knight Inn does not have its own restaurant, but does provide vending machines and free ice. It is within walking distance of several family-friendly restaurants, as well as several adult-oriented establishments. Several area restaurants deliver to the Knights Inn, if you feel like staying in and renting a movie from the front desk while you have dinner.

The Knights Inn is child and pet friendly. The outdoor swimming pool is a great way to spend some time with your children while they exhaust some energy before touring the beautiful Laurel Highlands . There are several convenience stores, drug stores, and discount department stores nearby, if you need to pick up extra supplies for your family.

The Knights Inn is by far the best value for your money when you visit Somerset .
