When you first walk in, there is a gift shop and instructions, with the rules, for entering. Once you enter, the butterflies are everywhere. At first, it takes your breath away, for seeing this sight is like no other.
There are personnel stationed inside to answer any questions you might have about the 75 varieties of butterfly.
The Butterfly House, along with a group in west Toledo, has helped the endangered Karner blue, make a remarkable recovery in the area.
The Butterfly House has various events going on through out the spring through the fall months. It is closed during the winter.The rates are very reasonable, given the uniqueness of the house. Seniors are $5 and Adults are $6. Children are $4.50 and under 3 are free with an adult.
One of the coolest things they do, is the releasing of hundreds of Monarchs in the later part of fall. It is a spectacular sight.
